Parliament House is one of Melbourne's best known landmarks and it was constructed between 1855 and 1929. It has served as both the seat of the Parliament of Victoria (1855-1901, 1927-present) and as the seat of the Federal Parliament of Australia.

The building was absolutely amazing architecture and the entrance was impressive with long white columns and standing on the steps where you get a good view of Bourke Street. Historical building like Windsor Hotel, Princess Theatre, and Treasury Building is nearby.
It is easily reached by taking a tram (Free Tram Zone 1) up Bourke Street or taking the City Circle Tram (Free) or Metro and getting off just outside Parliament House. Make sure you stand on the top of the stairs and look down towards Spring Street for a great view along Bourke Street.
